Parliament: Senator Jordon Steele-John questions Government on Earthquake Aid

At the Senate Estimates Hearing of 16/02/2023, Australian Greens Senator Jordon Steele-John raised several key questions to Foreign Minister Penny Wong and DFAT officials present at the hearing regarding aid to Earthquake Victims in Turkey and Syria. In his questioning, the Senator highlighted the fact that the vast majority of the worst affected areas of both regions were Kurdish communities. Senator Jordon Steele-John also pressed the Government on their knowledge of aid trucks carrying essential goods to victims had been blocked and seized at the borders by Turkish officials.
